Vevey/Aarau, April 16, 2025 – The EQUAL-SALARY Foundation is pleased to announce the official recognition of the SGS Fair-ON-Pay Advanced certificate, developed by the Fair-ON-Pay Association, as a valid salary analysis method within its Certification of Equal Pay and Opportunities (CEPO) process. Through this collaboration, EQUAL-SALARY and Fair-ON-Pay strengthen their joint commitment to equal pay while promoting more responsible and inclusive corporate governance.
A company that has conducted a Fair-ON-Pay Advanced salary analysis within the past 12 months can now skip the statistical phase of the CESC certification process and proceed directly to the on-site qualitative audit by EQUAL-SALARY to certify equal opportunities and fair processes.
« This agreement allows us to highlight the rigorous work done for the Fair-ON-Pay Advanced label and support companies’ progress toward equality—not only in terms of salary but also in opportunities and fair treatment between women and men. In this context, our certification becomes a key lever for promoting greater representation of women in leadership positions by ensuring equal career progression and professional development alongside their male counterparts », said Noémie Storbeck, co-CEO of the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation.
« According to our philosophy: 1 + 1 = 3! We are happy to announce this collaboration, which strengthens our shared commitment to advancing the issue of equal pay », commented Marc Pieren, Board Member of the Fair-ON-Pay Association.
About the Fair-ON-Pay Association
With Fair-ON-Pay, companies can verify compliance with equal pay between women and men at the company level using the Fair-ON-Pay standard through a standardized audit process. Fair-ON-Pay is based on Logib, the analysis method recognized as best practice by the Equal Pay International Coalition. Analyses are conducted by gender equality experts accredited by the Fair-ON-Pay Association. Compliance with the Fair-ON-Pay standard leads to a 4-year certification issued by the global quality control body SGS. A maintenance review is performed to ensure continued compliance with equal pay over time. To date, over 280 companies have been certified with Fair-ON-Pay in Switzerland and worldwide.
About the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation
EQUAL-SALARY is a non-profit foundation established in 2010 that offers companies a first-of-its-kind label for equal pay and equal opportunities, comparable to an ISO standard for pay and processes, and a second certification focused solely on equal pay. Both certification processes are based on rigorous, practical, and scientific methodologies. The Foundation’s development has been financially supported by the Swiss Federal Office for Gender Equality (FOGE) and its salary analysis method was developed in collaboration with the University of Geneva and HEG Geneva. EQUAL-SALARY is a member of EPIC – the Equal Pay International Coalition, the United Nations Global Compact, and the Equal Pay Transparency Alliance.
To date, the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation has certified companies in over 90 countries, involving nearly half a million employees. Several companies have renewed their commitment up to six times, demonstrating a strong dedication to promoting fairness, and strengthening trust and respect among their employees, clients, and partners. An EQUAL-SALARY certified organization is well-positioned to attract and retain talent and to prove it upholds the principles of good governance.
