On the 16th of May 2022, our co-CEOs, Noémie Storbeck and Lisa Rubli attended the Women Inspiring a Peaceful & Sustainable Future Conference at the UN organized by Hosted by CSPOC (Consensus for Self Sustaining People, Organisation & Communities) in collaboration with Global Citizen Forum and WIN
These two organizations came together in 2019 to expand their global vision by exploring new leaderships, and create a more authentic and sustainable world in which everyone can thrive.
The conference was a unique moment to meet inspiring speakers and to talk about closing the gender gap, but also about creating a world in which we can go beyond gender. Throughout the day each person contributed from their own authenticity and the whole perspective to find paths for the empowerment of the feminine.
Celebrating the tremendous efforts by international women the gathering explored the impact of women in leadership; how they inspire and empower others to live up to their full potential and leave a mark on their organizations, communities and the world at large.
Many inspiring speakers took the stage to present projects focused on different aspects of the SDGs: the environment, women’s leadership, diversity and inclusion, education and more. Amongst them:
- Simonetta Zarrilli, Chief, Trade, Gender and Development, UNCTAD.
- Lorella Zanardo, Women’s Rights Activist Director, New Eyes for the Media
- Caroline Kende-Robb, Senior Adviser, African Center for Economic Transformation
- Thalia Mingo, Global Lead, Bristol Myers Squibb Network of Women
- Tiziana Mele, Managing Director, Lundbeck Italia
- Mine Uran, Co-Founder & CEO, Alver World
Their presentation ranged from technological changes to mental health and flexible working and their impact on women and the feminine. They showed how wellness and balance at work and in the world could regenerate female bodies and the environment.
Being a part of this unique event for Peaceful & Sustainable Future and seeing the outstanding work being done by extraordinary women was truly inspiring.
